Teaching is a noble
profession
What I believe about professions is that all professions under the sky are noble but it depends upon the people to
make it noble or ignoble. But among these all professions teaching is noblest
profession because teaching is the essential profession, the one that makes all
other profession possible.
Now a day as people
believe that teaching is easiest profession but the fact is it seems easy but it
is one of the toughest professions because teacher has ability and power to
change the whole life of his students even THE GREAT CHANKYA believed that teacher
has power to create and to destroy
the world.
A child is the future of world and a teacher is the creator of that future and
as creator teacher always has to be creative and update his knowledge with the time.
If we go back in
past than we come to know that in those days in our India there was a Ashram system and at that time Guru had
to sacrifice his personal life and had to live with his students all time. And that’s
why teacher comes only after the parents. Even we have proverb that “mother
is the first teacher of child
“it also shows the importance of teacher in one’s life.
I personally believe that teacher has more responsibility
because in childhood for the child his teacher is his God and whatever teacher
teaches him is the final truth for him and even parents comes
after his teacher. So it’s teacher’s responsibility to make his students good human
being, and to give the nation a bright future. That’s why it is well said that -
A teacher's job is to take a bunch of
live wires and see that they are well-grounded.
And this profession also requires much
more presences of mind because teacher will never come to know that which type
of question will be asked by his students and as teacher it’s his responsibility
to satisfied his students by giving him satisfactory answer and it’s not easy
to give satisfactory answer every time.
I want to share my experience of my
teacher whenever I think of ideal teacher; the image that comes in my mind is
of my sir who developed my interest in English subject and because of him I
jumped into the world of English language and literature and I don’t feel
guilty for choosing it. Even in present time not only me but my all friends
are highly inspired by one man and he is our sir for whom his work comes first and
who is hub of the knowledge. Teacher has the capacity to change whole thinking
of his students and I can feel that changes within me because of my sir.
I also want to share my feeling as teacher.
Last year when I was studding B.ed I had to go in school and to teach students
for 15 days and in those 15 days I felt that great feeling of being a teacher. Whenever
I taught my students and whenever they replied excitingly I felt that feeling
and tears come out naturally. So that was one of the best moments of my life
though tears were there.
Now if we think about the present situation
of this profession than I would say that still this profession has not been
given that importance which it deserves. Still people think that people who are
not scholar and have no potential for the profession like doctory ,engineering,
and etc always choose teaching as profession while reality is different. Even our
great thinkers like Gandhiji and Swami Vivekananda both had highly respect for
this profession.
As we know that every coin has two
sides it also has another side which is dark. As I mentioned that every
profession is itself noble but it depends on person to make it noble p and
ignoble. In present time some people have take this profession just as tool of
earning more money and because of kind of money- minded people this profession has lost the
respect.
In nutshell I just want to say that–
Teaching is not a lost art, but the
regard for it is a lost tradition.
Well said!
ReplyDeleteNone can disagree with the last line. What according to you are the reasons for it? Why are teachers not getting their due respect in the society? Has the value system of society changed or that of teachers?
yes sir, what according to me the reasons behind the lost tradition are:
ReplyDeleteI personally believe that for this lost tradition not only the society but also teacher is equally responsible, because in present time money is at the center but not the morality and ethics.and society always respect those people who are reach.so people are now money minded they are always interested in making money at any cost. And according to people the easiest way for earning money even without hard work is the profession of teaching.here I want to clarify that it's just people's belief that one don't need to do hard work in this profession.so as easiest tool for earning money people have started to choose teaching as profession and now days for that some money minded so called teachers teaching is just a business and they don't care about the student's future.Even I have seen some people who are teacher in school than even they are giving personal coaching even they inspire students to inspire other students to join their classes.so when a teacher himself is in favor of coaching classes in the school that teacher will not take interest in other student's study who are not from his coaching class.so ultimately other students have to suffer because of this kind of teachers.and because of these some so called teachers this profession has lost the respect.
here again I want to say that somewhere even parents are also responsible because in present time when both mother and father are working at that time they can's spend time for their child and for teaching him,so they just send their child for personal coaching and in way they also inspire money minded teachers and coaching classes.
so yes now with the time even value system of society is changed as well as the priority of teacher is changed now.
thank you sir...
Nice....One..
ReplyDeleteHello Deepti,
ReplyDeleteThe blog is filled with sayings and Cliché, which makes it even more lively. I like narration technique: supporting the arguments by providing appropriate examples. Good work. Keep it up.
